Summer has officially arrived in the City of Lights. Summer means good food, family, and fun in the sun. This year Natchitoches marks its 300th year as the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. The Tri-Centennial Celebration events include the Cane River Green Market every Saturday morning from 8am until noon. Good fresh food available for purchase directly from the grower. You can only find fresher produce if you grow it yourself.
As Natchitoches celebrates its 300th year, the United States celebrates 238 years of independence on Friday, July 4th. Join in on the family fun downtown with waterslides, fireworks, $2 hotdogs, a car show, and a live band.
The 35th Annual Natchitoches/NSU Folk Festival will be held on Friday, July 18. Don't miss out on these and other great summer events in Natchitoches. We will keep you updated on activities in and around the Natchitoches area. It's summertime and the living is easy. Please make your reservation today. Welcome home to St. Luke RV Park.
